The European Chitin Society takes pride and great pleasure in organising and inviting delegates to attend the 15th International Conference of the European Chitin Society (EUCHIS) in in Murcia, Spain, from May 10th to 13th, 2026.
The conference will be hosted by University of Murcia, Spain, at its Social Centre, the event builds on the legacy of its fourteen preceding editions over the last three decades, started in Brest, France, in 1995. This is the undisputed leading scientific, technological, and industry European forum in the field of chitin and chitosan and their multiple related remits of knowledge and applications, ranging from agriculture, food, aquaculture, biomedicine, dentistry, biomaterials, pharmacy, cosmetics, biotechnology, water, textiles, adsorbent materials, biosensors, among others. We will feature a range of renowned international invited speakers, researchers, students, and companies to altogether make a successful and memorable scientific, innovation and exchange forum. This is to be accompanied by an exciting social and cultural programme to make the most of your stay in Murcia.
The conference is poised expected to attract delegates from Europe and all over the world. To this end, a scientific, business, cultural, and social program is being designed that will include invited presentations by international experts both the well- established leaders and from the new generation of young researchers who are currently driving research and innovation in the field. In addition, companies working all along the chitin and chitosan value chains from biomass to production, marketing and end-user applications, as well as analytical instrument companies, are expected to participate. Importantly, the conference is also expected to attract the emerging players from the new emerging industrial chitin sources from insects, fungi and microalgae.
Descripción: Se recibirán los resúmenes de los candidatos que envíen sus trabajos para ser valorados. Los trabajos deben estar firmados, al menos, por un autor que presentará el trabajo seleccionado en el congreso que se realizará en mayo en la Universidad de Murcia
