The goal of this event is to bring together international experts on the topic of generalized global symmetries in quantum systems. The objectives of this event are as follows. Offer leading experts in the field the opportunity to present their latest research at the University of Murcia. Offer all participants to the event the opportunity to get updates on the cutting edge developments on generalized symmetries. Encourage and promote interactions among participants in order to foster new collaborations, consolidate existing ones, bring forth new ideas, and contribute to novel research in the area.

This event is destined to graduate students and researchers working in theoretical physics. The topic of generalized global symmetries has interesting connections with many different areas. These include high-energy physics, mathematical physics, condensed matter physics, quantum information, string theory. As a result, we expect that a broad spectrum of students and researchers will be able to benefit from the research talks presented at the event, and from the interactions that the even will foster.
